What is a confirmation record?
Confirmation records contain logic that allows Hyperspace to validate processes, take actions, and perform error checking that will prompt users to resolve the issue within the workflow.
What is a verification confirmation record?
They check registration information for the purpose of verifying the checklist.
What are workflow confirmation records?
Workflow confirmation records run when a user attempts to complete a registration workflow, such as by clicking Check In or Admit.

What does the first confirmation screen control?
General settings and it rarely changed
What does the actions to perform field contain?
The actions the system performs when all of the error checking is satisfied and bypassed. Actions are configured by EPIC and shouldn’t be replaced.
What are the Patient Required Items useful for?
If you want to present an error to uses when EPT (Patient) items are missing. Patient validation extensions can utilize LPP record to perform complex error checking.
Patient Confirmation rules?
Patient context rules can trigger a warning or error to an end user in registration.
When should you use required items vs rule specifications?
Use a required item for any single items in EPT, EAR, or CVG and that should be an error.
User rule specification in all other situation.
When should you use Patient Validation Extension?
For complex error checking beyond the scope of rules. Epic can help.

Always copy from an existing foundation system record.
