What are Navigators?

A

They help users input accurate information related to patients, guarantors, coverages and other encounter specific information

What are Templates (LVN)

A

A collection of topic and sections that actually constitute a navigator. In Access workflows, templates are assigned based on the workflow .HFL. they appear in.

What are Topics (LVN)?

A

They are used to group sections, and therefor tasks together. Ex. you can create an Admission Info Topic that might include sections used for entering a patient’s admission details, destination and care.

What are Sections (LVN)?

A

They are the basic building blocks of navigators. These records are the parts of the navigator in which users review or enter data. For example, a front desk user might use the Demographics section to document basic information about a patient during registration or
admission.

What are configurations (LVN)?

A

They are used to customize sections. They only display a record ID in the view and not a name. For example, you might want to hide
certain fields in a section or change the order in which the fields appear.

What are the steps to customize navigators?

A
  1. Research existing navigator and configuration records to edit or copy.
  2. If creating new records, link them appropriately
  3. Identify the correct INI and item number for the item you want to add
  4. Edit the correct parameter within the configuration
  5. Test the registration workflow

How can you see the navigator record?

A

Go to workflow and click CTRL + ALT + SHIFT with left hand. With right hand press and release F12 and then press and release F10

A

Search for session information report. In the additional support report section(top left) click the link for show report and print group ID, then click ok.

How to find the correct INI and item number?

A

Open an existing navigator that contains the filed you’d like to include in your build. CTRL + Click in that field to find the INI
and item number.
Press Shift + F5 in the relevant field inside the configuration record to see all available options.
Contact your Prelude Technical Services representative to identify the correct item to use.
Open Record Viewer for a specific record that has the item populated that you want to add.
