A
- Causes vasoconstriction independent of adrenergic receptors or neural innervations
- Antidiuretic hormone

Indications
A
- Adult shock-refractory VF or pulseless VT, asystole, PEA

Contraindications
A
- Responsive patients with cardiac disease

Adverse Effects
A
- Cardiac ischemia
- Angina
- Hypertension
- Bradycardia

Administration
A
- 40 U IV/IO single dose only, may replace either first or second dose of epinephrine
- May be given ET but the optimal dose is not known
