- Severe anaphylaxis
- Asthma
- COPD

Contraindications
A
- Cushing’s syndrome
- Fungal infections
- Measles
- Varicella
- Known sensitivity, including sulfites
- No others in emergency setting

Adverse Effects
A
- Depression, euphoria
- Headache, restlessness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea
- HTN
- Bradycardia
- Swelling, fluid retention

Administration
A

Asthma, COPD, & Anaphylactic Shock
- Adult: 125 mg IV/IO/IM
- Peds: 1 mg/kg (up to 60 mg) IV/IO per day in two divided doses
