Q

Opioid Analgesics

What is the antiodote?

A

These meds bind to opioid receptors and serve to alter the response to pain causing a decrease in pain.
Be aware they affect LOC and RR.
Assess LOC and RR before and after admin.

If RR less than 8… give naloxone which is the antidote
