NURSING MANAGEMENT:

A
  • Respiratory isolation is a must until all vesicles have crust.
  • Prevent secondary infection of the skin lesion through hygienic care of the patient •Attention should be given to nasopharyngeal secretions and discharges.
  • Lines must be disinfected under the sunlight or through boiling.
  • Cut fingernails and wash hands
  • A child must wear mitten
  • Provide activities to keep child occupied to lessen pruritus
  • Observe oral and nasal care as rash may appear at the buccal cavity
