Post-Immunisation Fever treatment: Paracetamol
120mg/5ml Calpol
(minimum 2 months and over 4kg)
- 1st Dose 2.5 ml (60mg) ASAP after vaccine
- 2nd Dose 2.5ml 4 to 6 hours later if required
Post-Immunisation Fever (specifically with Men B vaccine at 2 to 4 months)
Paracetamol (120mg/5ml)
1st Dose
- 2.5ml (60mg)
2nd and 3rd Dose
- 2.5 (60mg) 4 to 6 hours after 1st

100mg/5ml Nurofen
(minimum 3 months and over 5 kg)
1st Dose
- 2.5 ml (50mg) ASAP afte vaccine
2nd Dose
- 2.5ml (50mg) 6 hours after 1st if required
To which group of patients should you not give live vaccines
immunocompromised

What may the MMR vaccine cause
- Aseptic Meningitis
- Idiopathic thrombocytopenia purpura (reduced blood platelets)
