VA Contracts Flashcards

Q
What does the Virginia statute of frauds require?
A
- The whole agreement need not be in writing.
- Multiple writings can satisfy the statute of frauds. Multiple writings can present “sufficient evidence” indicating that there is a contract. Ultimately, all that is required is some written evidence of an otherwise oral agreement.
- Importantly, satisfaction of the statute of frauds merely allows a case to continue, it does not mean that the P will prevail on a breach of K claim.
