A

- Peaceful death? Celebrate their life and sing joyfully as their coffin is carried out.

A
- Private property is a primary cause of social inequality and should not exist (abolished).
- All property public to eliminate class division and poverty.
- Wealthy men can’t monopolize land and markets for their own benefit.
- People should work towards a common goal as a community, than to gain personal status.
- Jobs should be restored, so people who turn to crime out of desperation can find honest work.

RELIGION AND FAITH
A
- All forms of religion should be allowed, respected, & celebrated.
- Few temples but big, and dark as according to the priests it dissipates thoughts.

Trade/Business
A
- Not equal - “harder” trades given to the man.
- Every man inherents some peculiar trade.
- Work fashion unisex & built for all weather conditions but no freedom of choice.
- Men are given the choice between pursuing two trades that they’ve learnt, but if one is needed more by the public he must choose that trade.
- The options were limited back then and society was forced into a path.
- People worshiped the priest and prostrated before him - he was the only one allowed to wear white.
- Wearing colors in the church was forbidden.
- Women and children would kneel before the fathers to seek forgiveness.

- After supper they spend an hour entertaining themselves with music or debate in the garden or in the halls depending on the season.
- No dice or foolish games
- Two strategic games called battle of numbers and a contest between virtues and vices

A
- Dangerous.
- Not equal between men and women
- Breaking a marriage results in bad consequences - sometimes slavery
- Can’t divorce or have multiple partners
- The woman must be 18 or over and the man must be 24 or over

- Kind and respected leaders
- Only a few simple laws that everyone can understand
- NO lawyers - people present their own cases, and judges only there to ensure everything is fair.

Wealth
A
- Iron important as fire & water
- Gold worthless cuz mark of a slave or turned into objects to be thrown away with no regard.
- No class hierarchy - SLAVE class still exists
- Lower cost of living + no poverty
- Silk clothes and gold = belittlement and as fools
- Utopians treated as an accessory to their wealth rather than the owner or producer of it
- Diamonds children toys

Feasting/Dining
A
- Anybody can take home food from the market
- Dine at the same table except sick ppl
- Women clean meat + deliver food
- Unpleasant dining processes performed by slaves
- Every child is nursed by their own mother unless unable to
- Children not of marriage age serve, and eat in silence
- Dinner (formal meal) and supper (casual meal) is started with a short speech focusing on teaching a lesson
- Supper longer than dinner
- Never drink without music & fruit is served after meat
- When people live far distances from each other they eat at home and family is not needed
- Can drinking but not so much that it causes disruptions or negative consequences

- Love to learn - many books & picked up Greek books in no time
- Knowledge held in high regard as one of the more pleasant parts of philosophy
- Made own printing press and paper (scientific method?)

Physical Description (geography)
A
- 200 miles wide in the middle
- 54 large cities on the island and built well
- Balance with nature, utopians can have harmony in their environment
- Central rock with tower for defence to prevent surprise attacks

Agriculture/Farming/Resources
A
- Farms all over the country that people rotate through running, while in charge they learn about farming and follow proper farming rules.
- Farmers enjoy their work; all means of growth, both of the crops and of the animals, are efficient and expedited using little resources to send to townsfolk all across the country.
- Horses are bred for children to learn horsemanship, Oxen for labour - not food
- People only take what they need, excess sent to neighbours, foreign resources paid by the city magistrates.
