Purpose of the HQMC
- Consists of the Commandant of MC and his advising staff.
- Commandant of MC directly responsible to the SECNAV for administration, discipline, organization, training, efficiency, and readiness of the Marine Corps.
MAGTF
- Principal organization for conduct of all missions across military operations.
- Task-organized, Combined forces, equipped for SHORE/SEA based missions ranging from Humanitarian - Peacekeeping - Intense Combat in any environment
- Able to respond rapidly to contingency anywhere in the world.

- Task-organized to support MAGTF’s by performing all of the functions of MC aviation.
- Operates from SHIPS or expeditionary AIRFIELDS and FORWARD OPERATING SITES.
MARDIV - GCE
MISSION
- Task-organized to support MAGTF in ground operations
- Infantry with ARTILLERY, RECON, ARMOR, and ENGINEER FORCES
MLG - LCE
MISSION
-Task-organized to support READINESS and SUSTAINABILITY of MAGTF

- To AUGMENT, REINFORCE, and provide OP TEMP RELIEF to Active MARFOR.
- Service to the community
