Always read from bottom of the meniscus.

Allow time for it to heat up.
Test tubes will need to remain in the water bath for some time before they are the same temperature as the water bath itself.
Always check with a thermometer so temp doesn’t change.

Data Loggers.

Decide what you are measuring and what data logger you will need eg temp,pH.
Decide how often you want data logger to record readings.
Attach external sensor if needed.
