What is a colorimeter?
A
A device measuring the absorbance.
The amount of light absorbed by solution.

What do you do when you have turned the machine on?
A
Allow to stabilise for 5 minutes.
Calibrate it to 0 using a cuvette of distilled water.

When the colorimeter has stabilised and is ready, what do you do?
A
Use a clean pipette to transfer a sample of the solution you would like to test into a clean cuvette and then measure absorbance of solution.
