Describe the tracheal features (superiorly-inferiorly)

+nervers, arteries, start/end, features, nearby bodies

  • Epiglottis
  • C6
  • RECURRENT LARYNGEAL NERVES run up to LARYNX via tracheo-oesophageal grooves
  • 16-20 cartilage rings, posteriorly completed by TRACHEALIS
  • Eosophagus lies posterior to tracheal tube
  • COMMON CAROTID ARTERIES (laterally in neck)
  • VAGUS NERVES (bilaterally. to trachea)
  • Carina cartilage found at bifurcation at level T4/5 and at STERNAL ANGLE

A

R 1º BRONCHI => EPARTERIAL BRONCHUS + HYPARTERIAL. BRONCHUS (BEFORE ENTERING LUNG)

L 1º BRONCHI => ENTERS AFTER THEN BRANCHES.
