Q

Cervical Spine Extension

A

Bring head back, one hand on forehead. Other hand on upper back

Check for pain

Add overpressure

23
Q

Cervical Spine Lateral Flexion

A

One hand on shoulder, other above temple.

Check for pain, add overpressure.

BOTH DIRECTIONS

24
Q

Cervical spine rotation

A

Overpressure: Elbow on shoulder, hand behind head. Other hand pushes into direction above ear.

Both directions

25
Q

Shoulder flexion

A

Keep your arm straight and bring it forward to the ceiling. Any discomfort? Apply overpressure with one hand on scapula, other below elbow.

26
Q

Shoulder abduction

A

Keep your arm straight and bring it out to the side, towards the ceiling for me. Any discomfort? Apply overpressure behind patient with one hand on scapula, other below elbow pushing in.

27
Q

Extension for shoulder?

A

No point. Extension is the return of flexion.

28
Q

Hyperextension for shoulder?

A

Keep your arm straight and go back as far as you can for me. Any discomfort? apply pressure @ elbow and @ scapula from the front.

29
Q

Internal rotation for shoulder ROM

A

Keep arm in L position with palm of hand faced behind you. Any discomfort? One hand above wrist, other behind elbow.

30
Q

External rotation for shoulder ROM

A

Keep arm in 90 degree angle in a L position with knuckles toward the ceiling. Bring back of the hand as far back behind you. Any discomfort? apply pressure @ elbow and below wrist

31
Q

Elbow flexion ROM

A

Bend arm and bring hand up to your shoulder. As far as you can go? Any discomfort? Apply overpressure below wrist and behind shoulder

32
Q

Elbow extension ROM

A

Return from flexion, keep arm straight for me. Any pain? Apply overpressure with one hand below wrist and one hand above elbow.

33
Q

Forearm ROM for Pronation

A

Rotate hand so palm is faced towards the ground. Any pain or discomfort? Apply overpressure. Hold the elbow and grab hand in direction of pronation.

34
Q

Forearm ROM for Supination

A

Bend arm and rotate palm towards the ceiling as far as you can go. Any pain? Apply overpressure @ elbow and wrist in direction of supination.

35
Q

Forearm ROM Flexion/Extension

A

Bring hand back towards you. Any pain? Overpressure

Bring hand down towards ground, any pain? Overpressure

36
Q

Radial Deviation ROM

A

Keep elbow bent, bring hand in towards yourself. Any pain? Overpressure

37
Q
