A

Inflammation of bursa that lies over deltoid muscle in sub-acromial space.

A
  • Repetitive microtrauma - over head action = shotput
  • inflammation of bursa = 3th, 4th decades
  • impingement pain = neutral position to abduction

A
  • Pain in shoulder abduction from 60° - 120°= The sub acromial bursa is engaged within the sub acromial space so as the bursa moves out of it the pain is relieved
