GALLEY Fire procedure

A
  1. turn OFF galley power immediately
  2. Get nearest fire extinguisher, signal another crew who immediately notifies the FD with SPECIFIC INFORMATION regarding the fire and standby with a second fire extinguisher and PBE
  3. Combat the fire
  4. Keep the PIC informed of the situation (severity, actions being taken and if fire has been extinguished.

CABIN fire procedures

A

Cabin crew who first notices the fire fights the fire.

  1. Get nearest fire extinguisher, combat the fire.
  2. The same cabin crew shall signal another crew
  3. Switch off all electrical power
  4. Communicate continuously with the PIC
  5. Bring additional fire fighting equipment to the scene ( fire extinguisher, PBE)

Lavatory fire

A
  1. Put on necessary long sleeved jacket to protect bare skin from flames
  2. Notify flight deck crew while another crew combats the fire
  3. Get down low
  4. Open door slightly, depress the handle of fire extinguisher
  5. Close lavatory door, check after 1 min
  6. Spray again if needed
  7. Discharge fire extinguisher directly in the bin
  8. Douse water to prevent reignition of fire

Cabin crew who has access to the PA shall announce: EXIT LAVATORIES AND RETURN TO YOUR SEATS
