what is unstable angina
A
myocardial ischaemia at rest/ minimal exertion IN THE ABSENCE of acute cardiomyocyte injury/ necrosis

what are the characteristics of unstable angina
A
prolonged chest pain (>20 mins)
angina that is longer, more frequent or more severe

what are the main presenting symptoms of unstable angina
A
chest pain,
less common; sweating, epigastric pain, dyspnoea, syncope

what are some risk factors for unstable angina
A
DM, obesity, hyperlipidaemia, hypertension

A
ECG, troponin, CXR, FBC, LFTs, blood glucose and CRP
