What is unlawful act manslaughter?
A
Where Defendant has done a dangerous criminal act which causes death.
There is no MR needed,just the unlawful act.

What is the first element of Unlawful act manslaughter?
A
D must have committed an unlawful act.
Must be a criminal act (not omission) with both AR and MR present

What is the second element?
A
The act must be dangerous.
The reasonable man must realise it carried risk of harm (not just fear) .
Defendant doesn’t have to realise risk.

What is the third element?
A
Defendants act must cause the victim to die.
(Causation applies)
