A

OSHA (Occupational safety and health administration)

CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention)

OSHA - oversees policies and procedures to ensures safe working environment (ex: making sure every employee has their shots)

CDC - Center for Disease Control - makes recommendation about health/ disease on local and state levels

Hand Hygiene Techniques

A

Hand-rub (alcohol-based): use before and after treatment with pt. If a surface is touched, you must use hand-rub before coming into contact with the patient.

Wash hands - when visibly soiled, come into contact with patient, after using restroom & before eating
