Foundation of the word, usually indicates the involved body part

Word ending
-Usually indicates a procedure, condition disorder or diseases
Suffixes
Can be nouns or adjectives
Word beginning
-usually indicates location,time, or number
Combining vowel
- A vowel that links two words parts together
Combining form
Rood word plus a combining vowel
Anatomy
The study of the structures of the body
Physiology
The study of the functions of these structures
Anatomical Postion
All descriptions of the body are based on anatomical position. Standing, facing towards you
Midsagittal
Lengthwise plane that divides the body into equal right and left sides
Sagittal
Doves the body Into you equal right and left sides

Vertical plane the divides the body into front and back portions

Plane that divides the body into upper and lower portions
