Graphics
Help illustrate the ideas in documents, & provide on a page.
Illustration group
To insert a graphic file, use the picture command.
Recolor button
To change to b/w, sepia, grayscale, washout.
Text wrapping
To position a graphic anywhere on a page.
Adjust group
To brighten and contrast a picture.
Anchor symbol
indicates photo is anchored to the paragraph next to it.
Crop
Trim parts of photo you don’t want (size group).
Press shift
Maintains its proportion.
Arrow keys
Nudge a graphic.
Shape button
You change shape of pic by clicking this.
Text box
Container that you can fill with text and graphics (insert menu).
Link
Between two or more text boxes you can force text to flow from 1 box to another.
Word Art
A drawing object that contains text formatting with special shapes, patterns, and orientations.
Shadow and 3D effects
Enliven the way word arts look.
Shapes
Rectangles, ovals, lines, callouts, block arrows, stars, etc. You can create to make a document more interesting. (not used to fill meaningless space, use it for important stuff just for now UwU)
Drawing canvas
Workspace for creating your own graphics–provides flamelike boundary between illustration and rest of document.
Chart
Visual representation of numerical data–bar, pie, line etc – (insert tab).
Smart art
Feature that makes it easy for you to quickly create and format many different diagrams.
Drawing gridlines
Nonprinting lines that are used to align, size and position objects.
Floating graphic
Graphic to which a text wrapping style has been applied.
Contrast
The difference between the darkest and lightest areas of a picture.
Position button
To change an inline graphic to a floating graphic.
