2
What is he format of a quadratic equation?
Ax2 +- bx +- c = 0
What do you do first on a quadratic equation?
MAKE IS EQUAL TO 0
What do you need to find in a quadratic equation?
Numbers that add o one thing, and multiply to another.
What is a difference question?
+ -
OR
- -
When do you use the formula?
When the answers AREN’T whole numbers.
What is the quadratic formula?
-b +- square root of b2 - (4xaxc) all over 2a
What do you do first when using the formula?
Write out what A, B and C are.
What is the format for completing the square?
( x + b/2) 2
What is the second step for completing the square?
Expand it, and write the difference of c at the end.
What is different about simultaneous equations?
There are TWO unknowns
And there are TWO equations.
What is the easiest method of solving simulations equations?
Adding and subtracting.
What is the harder method for simultaneous equations?
Substitution.
What to inequalities have?
A symbol INSTEAD of an equals sign.
What does this sign mean:

What can you show inequities on?
A number line
What does a full fit on a number line mean?
That OR EQUAL to.
What does an empty dot on a number line mean?
Not equal to.
No including the number.
What happens when an inequality has a upper and lower limit?
Solve them SEPARATELY.
What do you do to solve an inequality?
Move all the numbers to the higher numbers side, and the letters on the other.
What happens when you multiply or divide by a negative number in an inequality?
YOU FLIP THE INEQUALITY SIGN.
What do you do during substitution of simultaneous equations?
Rearrange one of the equations to EQUAL something.
SUBSTITUTE THE OTHER IN.
