straight nitrogen fertilisers ( name 2 )
CAN (Calcium Ammonium Nitrate) and urea. Ground rock phosphate is a straight nitrogen fertiliser used in forestry.
4 CAN Characteristics
Most widely used staright nitrogen fertiliser in ireland, Contains nitrogen in two forms: ammonium ions and nitrate ions, The ammonium ions are acidic and can lower the soil pH levels, CAN contains calcium, which is alkaline, this prevents the soil pH from becoming too acidic.
