Machine becomes the power rather than humans or animals

Trying new kinds of foods and experimenting –> led to a larger population

Rich Farmers bought poor farmers land –> poor farmers start to work in factories for cheap
Why did industrial Revolution thrive in UK
- They had resources like coal
- stable and wealthy government
- No wars / save money for business
- Colonies (Resources)
- They had people who were willing to take a risk

Passed laws on factories –> government organized the committee
Factory Act of 1832
Passed by Sadler Committee - Workers now had limited Age and Hours for factories
