Define The Term: Covert Opperations
Operations/activities unknown to the public, usually military or intelligence focused
Define The Term: Executive Agreement
An agreement between two heads of state where they each carry out a particular action that is within their legal authority without influence from congress/other parliaments
Define The Term: State Of The Union
Constitutionally required that the President informs congress of the state of the union at that time. Has become a speech where they lay out their legislative agenda
Define The Term: Veto
Presidential Power from Article 2 that allows the President to refuse to sign a law, sending it back to Congress

When the President leaves a bill unsigned for 10 days during a congressional adjournment (not in session) it is automatically vetoed

President vetoes only certain portions of a law before signing it (ruled unconstitutional)
