What did Hamilton believe was important to make the US a great nation?
He believed that the rights to the states were not as important as national power and unity. He also thought a strong national economy was very important too.
How did Hamilton believe a national bank could serve the country’s interests?
Hamilton wanted the economy to expand so he thought of expanding manufacturing, trade, land grants for education, and infrastructure such as canals and roads. But they had so much debt in the United States from the war so Hamilton had an idea to create a national bank to help the government to help the national government collect taxes and keep funds safe and it would print money for stable currency. They would loan business people to expand trade and manufacturing.

They thought the economy should be based on farmers not merchants and bankers. They believed a strong economy relied on agriculture. They also thought the idea of the national bank was unconstitutional and they didn’t like the idea because they did not lend money to the farmers.
What are the Alien and Sedition Acts?
The federalists in congress passed four controversial laws. The federalists argued that the laws protected the country from foreign threats to national security. But these laws were actually made to make politics harder for their rival the Democratic republicans.
Three of the laws were aimed at aliens, a term used at the time for noncitizens. The first law lengthened the time it took for an immigrant to become a citizen with the right to vote for 5-14 years. This is because most immigrants voted for DR.
