Knowing you belong to a group (self-categorization)
Evaluative Social Identity
Valuing your group membership (self-esteem; positive or negative)
Emotional Social Identity
An emotional connection to your group (effective commitment)
Social mobility
Changing social categories to improve your status or identity
Social change
Challenging the individual in the dominant position your group to improve you social identity
Social categorization
Sorting people into groups to simplify the world, though it can distort reality
Self-organization
A process where systems/individuals structure themselves without external control
