What do Load Definitions process?
Peripheral drivers, low-level OS and ACE settings (such as whether it will get a static or dynamic IP address, whether it’s an enhanced terminal or not) and generic start-up instructions.
What are common issues of U005?
Register peripheral device, lane switch, load definitions, network port speeds, register hardware
What is an example of when you would activate Controller Configurations?
When making changes to the controller print queue
When is Personalization applied in the loading process?
Between W008 and the completion of the register load
What do Personalization Options contain?
ACE software options. It differentiates a front end register from a customer service register
What is the difference between copying options and recreating them?
When you copy options, it rewrites the file over the same location on the hard drive. Recreating it will write it to a new location
What background application routes loyalty queries?
EMR
How long is a customers Loyalty information held locally on a store controller?
This information is held locally for 30-60 days so repeat local customers are not forced to wait for this confirmation each time they come in to the store.
What are examples of Targeted Club Loyalty Offers?
Examples of targeted offers could include digital coupons, employee discounts, senior discounts, and KPF fuel discounts.
What is the DILYLMSG file?
The DILYLMSG (store, pump, etc.) files contain loyalty related messaging for the registers. These files exist on all controllers. Clubs on the customer’s Loyalty Card determine what messages are printed to receipts.
What does KMCAUTOR and KCCAUTOR do?
These “bat” (batch) commands turn off/on auto resume – This enables/disables the controller from re-acquiring registers automatically during controller boot-up or if a controller goes offline.
What is EAMITEMR?
The item file. It is the UPC database for the store.
When would you perform an Item File Restore?
When batches are run for the wrong day
What command do you run to set batches in Waiting or Applying status back to a Pending status?
