Nominal Sentences
In a short sentence the present tense of sum 'to be' may be omitted, if there is an expressed subject. Such a sentence lacking a verb is called a nominal sentence. **Apostlī ministrī Chrīstī.** The apostles [are] the ministers of Christ. **Verba Dominī bona.** The words of the Lord [are] good.
