What were the strengths of the Articles of Confederation?
Ability to control foreign relations and ability to declare war
What were the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation?
Lack of authority to tax, regulate trade, states held most of the power to create laws, lack of executive branch
What is the Great Compromise?
Made it so that some aspects leaning towards small states and aspects leaning towards large states for representatives in Congress were added
What is the Three-Fifths Compromise, and who did it favor?
It made it so that 5 slaves are worth 3 people in representation for the government.
Federalists
Believed that a strong government was important to run the country.
Anti-Federalists
Believed that a weak government, with power going to states, was important to run the country.
What is the Bill of Rights?
A set of unalienable rights given to every citizen.
