Tell me when we use the present perfect tense
- Things happened in the past but are still connected to the present e.g. Mr Lau has never been to India before. 2. Things happened in the past that finished a short time ago e.g. We have *just* returned home.

How do we form the present perfect tense?
has/have + past participle E.g. Hasnat has submitted the first draft of the unit 2 composition.

To say something has not happened at any time in the past E.g. Although Jessica has never planted a tree, she is doing it very well.

To say when a past action started + an action has continued until now E.g. I have been a teacher since 1996.
