distribution of income
how do you find the gini coefficient
A/(A+B)
if the gini coefficient is zero what does that mean
perfect equality the lorenz curve would be ontop of the line of equality
therefore if it is 1 then there is perfect inequality
what does the elephant graph show
The effect of globalization on income growth for people of various incomes.
at the peak is middle class countries like china and india
at the bottom is low earning countries like UK and USA

focus on teaching kids about food
define ecological footprint

summarise what fairtrade does
farmers work together so they’re not competing (also learn from each other)
fairtrade premium allows them to invest in local area
minimise child labour
GM crops forbidden
water usage limited

make it unacceptable to litter
manage and upkeep local spaces
educate kids on environment
move away from “throw-away” economy

-reduce environmental impacts
-use second hand products
what are the (Dis)advantages of ethical consumerism
Ad:
empowers ordinary people
bottom up pressure

consumers confused by so many labels
choose unethical options due to costs
localism doesn’t help LICs develop
