How we use ‘Going to’
We use to talk about future plans and intentions
Eg: I’m not very happy, I’m going to look for another job.
I’m going to see my friends this evening
We also use to predicitions when we know (or can see) that something is going to happen
Eg: She’s going to have a baby in january
Look at that car! it’s going to crash into the lorry

and Questions with ‘GOING TO’
Afirmative form:
I’m going to get more qualifications in the next two years.
You’re going to to get a rise.
He’s going to stay at home
Negative form:
My boss isn’t going to give me a rise
I’m not going to watch TV.
She isn’t going to out this evening
Questions form:
Are you going to leave your job ? Yes, I am / No, I’m not
Is he going to travel more ? Yes, he is / No, he isn’t
How we can use VERB + INFINITIVE
We can use the infinitive of another verb after many verbs,
Eg: afford, agree, arrange, expect, forget, hope, intend, manage, plan, promise, refuse, seem.
Eg: He intends to start a business next year
You promised to do this for me
I expected to finish my essay today
We can’t afford to buy a new house.
Note that some verbs cannot be followed by an infinitive:
Eg:I enjoy going to the theatre. NOT i ENJOY TO GO TO THE THEATRE.
It’s possible check in a dictionary to see if a verb is followed by an infinitive
Present Continuous
for Future use
We use the present continuous to talk about plans and arrangements that are already made for the future. We usually know when the arragments are happening
Eg: We’re flying to LA tomorrow.
She’s having lunch whit her boss on Friday.
We use time expressions to specify the future moment
We put the future time expressions at the beginning or end of sentence
We can also use to talk about fixed future plans. There is very little diference between and the present continous in tihis case:
I’m going to see my aunt tomorrow.
I’m seeing my aunt tomorrow.
