What is the purpose of the USAF Mishap Prevention Program?
“Minimize Mishap” - Minimize loss of AF resources and protect AF personnel from death/serious injury/illness
What is the vision of the USAF Mishap Prevention Program?
It is the responsibility of all, on and off duty, to practice accident prevention principles and identify/remove hazards in a workplace.
What is the AFSMS?
Air Force Safety Management System

1) To ensure vehicles do not roll while parked or 2) chocks are placed in a preplanned position to prevent collisions
When are spotters necessary?
1) Within 10 feet of an aircraft, 2) when backing towards and aircraft within 25 feet, 3) when visibility is limited, and 4) when the operator deems one necessary
What is the speed limit for General Purpose vehicles, if not posted?
15 MPH
