What is a DV?
Distinguished Visitor
Who qualifies as a Distinguished Visitor?
According to AFI 34-1201, 1) any general or flag officer, 2) any government official with rank equivalent to E-7, 3) anyone else designated by SECAF
What privilege do DVs receive?
Separate transportation, if mission permits, and option to board/deplane before or after other passengers
What are three other circumstances that afford DV privileges?
1) Next of Kin of Very Seriously Ill (Red Cross Message), 2) Blue Bark (death of family), 3) COIN Assist (POW/MIA)
What are stowaways?
An unauthorized person aboard an aircraft / not listed on the flight manifest
What is a denied entry passenger?
One whom was denied entry into a country
Who will pay for a denied entry passengers return flight/expenses?
Space-R: The person’s unit
Space-A: The denied person
How pregnant can a women be until she cannot board a flight?
Up to 34 weeks
How far postpartum can a women be before she can board a flight?
At least six weeks postpartum (Same as infants)
Who is the only passenger that may board before DV?
Passengers with disabilities
What is the first step when a disabled passenger wants to board?
Contact ATOC to ensure aircraft configuration provides proper access and safe transport
Who holds final authority to determine if disabled passengers can fly?
The Aircraft Commander
How many seats must you take up to be denied flight privilege?
More than one
What type of passenger requires special announcement in the terminal?
Prisoner with armed guards
If there is a prisoner with armed guards, when will they be loaded/offloaded?
Before any passengers board, and offloaded after passengers deplane
