What was the impact of Fort St. Louis on the Spanish?
-It pressured the Spanish to have more of a presence in Texas because Spain doesn’t want France anywhere near central Mexico because of all the gold there.
What was the primary goal of the Spanish Missions?
-The primary goal was to convert Native Americans to Roman Catholicism.
Why did the Spanish Missions fail?
-Lack of supplies, bad location, crops fail, people die, lack of native interest in the spanish lifestyle.
What were the terms of the Adams-Onis Treaty?
-The Sabine river is now the boundary between Spain and the U.S, Also, the U.S. gets Florida. In return, the U.S. surrenders all claims to Texas.

-allows states to make their own decisions about land grants

-an economic depression, is where everyone doesn’t have a lot of money. The economy can barely function and cycle all of the money around.

-An army for a country or state. (works for the government)
