What did the law of April 6, 1830 do?
It encouraged Mexican and European families to immigrate to TX, and stopped immigration from the U.S.,and added taxes (or duties) to all foreign goods coming into TX.

They built forts in the neighborhoods.
What did this law do to the relationship between TX and Mexico?
Anglo Americans were upset about the law, and the relationship between governments worsened.
How did a confrontation develop between Texas and Mexico? What is the story? Were the prisoners released?
It was over taxes. When colonel John Davis Bradburn arrested two Texans for interfering with his efforts to collect taxes on imports, angry settlers marched on the Mexican fort at Anahuac. After a few skirmishes between the two sides, the prisoners were released.

The Turtle Bayou Resolutions on June 13, 1832, in support of Mexican Federalists.

Bustamante resigned, Santa Anna was a federalist, then converted to being a centralist.
