how do food customs evolve
as people dispersed throughout the world, they brought some of their traditions and customs with them. different customs arise naturally because of different circumstances. Canadians eat left overs where as in Japan, they do not.

Social influences:
- Many food choices begin with the influence of family, friends, media, and culture
- Social media influencers + friends as well as your social status
Available resources:
- peoples food choices differ because our resources differ
foods that are available in one country versus the same amount of money that someone has to buy something
