Example: breathing or eating
Learned Behavior
Behavior that develops from experience or observing other animals

An area occupied by a group or individual
What behaviors help animals survive
Finding food
Marking territory
Defending resources
Avoiding danger
Migration
Seasonal movement from one place to another
Hibernation
A period of inactivity and decreased body temperature that some animals go through in winter
Estivation
A period of inactivity during hot and dry summers
Social behavior
The set of interactions that occur among animals of the same species
