How
Lior Davis: Why do AZ get the punishment of the partner and not the girl?
Rashi: The Torah says that when AZ testify about a man and a woman they always get the punishment of the man
R. Jonathen Sacks: Why does the Mishnah start in the middle of the sections discussing AZ and not at the beginning?
When the Gemara was written the secular thought of the Gemara with a left brain (Putting things in sequence) whereas the Gemara was written using right brain thought (Making connections and associations). Therefore it’s assumed that you make these associations before you learn Gemara.
