Died from Gout disease on his foot

Focused on arts not banking, Pazzi conspiracy, escaped and started rebellion against Pope.
The Medici - Pazzi Conspiracy
Pope sets out to end Medici families power by killing Giovanni and Lorenzo on Easter. His assassins only kill Giovanni and Lorenzo escapes starting a riot against the Pope.

A religious friar(a priest) Hates Medici, gets majority to kick the Medici family out. He says the Pope is going to hell so they take him and kill him.

A painting in the Sistine Chapel that shows creation, Adam and Eve, and Noah and his ark

At the end of the Sistine Chapel shows the return of Christ with people being sent to heaven and hell.

bronze statue that was the 1st freestanding nude statue since antiquity. known for feminine quality
Da Vinci - Last supper
Portrays the reactions of the 12 disciples when Jesus said who will betray him. It is symbolic. 3 = Trinity
Da Vinci - Mona Lisa
It is a famous painting in the Louvre Museum, Paris because It was:
- Stolen in early 1900’s by a Frenchman
- 3/4 pose was a revolutionary change in portraits
- It had the first Sfumato (Hazy background)
- It had an imaginary background
Da Vinci - inventions
Da Vinci invented things like Hang gliders and Tanks well before its time. He liked to draw out his ideas. He drew out plans for helicopters, hang gliders, and even hot air balloons.
Da Vinci - “Renaissance Man”
Describes a well-rounded individual. Someone who knows science, math, Anatomy, and engineering. (like Da Vinci)
Da Vinci - Vitruvian
Shows a human with perfect proportions. For example: arms the same wingspan as the length of your body.

Fresco painting about babies shooting women getting tackled by mermen.
Raphael - School of Athens
Its a painting showing Plato pointing to the sky to show knowledge comes from above and Aristotle pointing to whats around him to show that he thinks knowledge is on the Earth
