Dynasty
family/line of rulers from same descent
Ex: Ming dynasty/Chinese dynasty
Hierarchy
ranking of authority (associated w/ chain of command/control)
Institutions
humanly devised structures of rules/norms that shape individual behavior.
Migration
movement of ppl from one place to another
Monarchy
political system w/ individual ruler as head of state (King/Queen)
Monotheism
belief in one god
Ex: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
Neolithic Revolution
the critical transition that resulted in the birth of agriculture
Paleolithic
foraging, hunting, and fishing = prime resource for food.
Polytheism
belief in many gods.
Ex: Hinduism, ancient egyptians
Sedentary
living in groups permanently in one place
Specialization
focusing on specific skill/activity/production process
