Why are Significant Figures used (3/1)
A
- Digits in a number
- Shows how precise it is
- Indicate the accuracy of the measurement
Ensures answer is not more precise than original numbers, but is still accurate.

How do you round using significant figures? (3)
A
- If a decimal is Present (P), count from left after first non- digit is reached
- If a decimal is Absent (A), count from right after first non- digit is reached
- ALL NUMBERS AFTER THAT DIGIT IS SIGNIGICANT
