To carry messages around the body, allowing communication

What is the central nervous system (CNS) made up of?
Brain and Spinal cord
What is the brain and spinal cord responsible for?
Receiving information from our sense
What does the peripheral nervous system consist of?
Rest of the nerve cells around the body from the spinal cord

Left side of the body

Corpus callosum
What are the 2 main branches of the peripheral nervous system?
Somatic nervous system and autonomic nervous system

Voluntary functions
What type of functions does the autonomic nervous system control?
involuntary functions

Reducing complex behaviour down to simple units
How is the biological approach reductionist?
It reduces complex behaviour down to internal factors like the nervous system
