A

=studied a child reaction when parted from their parents

1.if the infant had a secure attachment the parent is in tune with the infants emotions and the infant will become distressed when left and when they return they seek comfort from the primary care giver, happy with stranger if caregiver present

2.if infant has a insecure/avoidant attachment the parent is unavailable to the child or rejects them. the child will not show distress when left and may go o the stranger for comfort

3.if the infant has an insecure attachment the parent is inconsistent when meeting the childs needs and the child will show distress when left but resist contact when they return
