- individual ideas, own morals, cant be told what/who we are, independent, not taking others feelings into consideration
bad: hard to have community when everyone is thinking about themselves
secularism
- religion is separate from our every day lives
good: religion is no longer forced, more religions are tolerated, not something had to be done a certain way
bad: morals are lost, roots are lost, not as much community
technological world view
- has become a part of human conscienceness
good: more info faster, easier to stay in touch, safety, always connected, advances
bad: becoming addicted, losing communication skills, losing quality time, not living in the moment, people no longer present with each other
pluralism
- we are accepting of differences
- abortion, taste, sexuality, race, sex, religion, culture, marriage, ethnicity
- non judgmental
- good: open to new ideas, equality, living in harmony, peace on earth
- bad: everything becomes ok, no longer standards/morals, doesnt know how to tell right/wrong

- you are born with things and your culture develops certain ones
- culture is a set of abilities that are learned and passed on. learning and changing is our instinct

- an act of construction
- goes from pretentive stage to attentive stage in 1/10 of a second
- your mind is always eager to cognate situations into a divinities mental state
- you remember things the way you want to
- the mind does it automatically, you can’t control it
- your mind judges each situation from which prejudices are built
