What is a stakeholder?
People who are directly or indirectly affected by a specific change. They can be internal or external to the organisation

Gain broad view of area, obtain buy in and acceptance and gain consensus

Time consuming, needs careful facilitation and participants need required level of authority

Better understanding of problems, seeing the task in the user’s environment and uncover tacit knowledge

Users may feel self conscious and you may not see true reflection
What are the positives and negatives of scenario analysis as an investigative technique?
All steps included, tacit knowledge uncovered, top down approach

time consuming and can be overly complex

When there is a lot of information in different groups/levels to be considered

Visual root cause analysis tool

A map that shows the physical movements required for the actor to carry out a task
Whats a business needs log?
Log used to identify how to address the problems identified in a root cause analysis for example.
