UMMS And Stores Flashcards
What does UMMS stand for
Unit Maintenance Management System
What is the UMMS BRd
BRd 1313
Primary objectives
-Management of maintenance
-Management of concession
-Reporting,recording and management of defects
-provide a consolidated hierarchy of ship fitted equipment and associated configuration information
-interface to mimic CBM systems to allow reporting of defects and capture running hrs,start/stop
-interface with MJDI to allow users to interrogate requisition form and place demands upon ships stores.
-simplify administration of standard naval engineering reports
I.e; WRF , S2022 , S2012
-enable design authorities to review the effectiveness of RCM schedules & make change where necessary.
What’s RCM
Reliability centred maintenance
What’s the A categories for UMMS
A1- checklist
A2- LLM (low level maintenance)
A3- action driven
What’s the B categories of UMMS
B1-UWE ( under water engineering)
B2- extended readings
B3-DryDock
What is concession ?
It’s when UMMS task cannot be carried out
So when you have activity driven task which can only be done during a certain period like forced roll trials which are bi-monthly would need a concession if we are elsewhere
Who can approve concessions ?
SNR ME
What’s a low priority or MATDEM
Stores ordered using demand book
What’s a low priority or MATDEM
Stores ordered using demand book
What’s high priority
Associated with OPDEF/WRF
What’s a Non-patinised
Stores that have no NSN
What would you do if you can’t get an NSN for stores ?
You would have to get manufacturers part number from trilogy or manufacturer though MSSP
Or the 40 million number
Can MJDI generate an NSN from manufacturers part number ?
Yes
What’s used for STOROB
It’s used when the ship needs a part sooner than the manufacturer is able to deliver.
So this would consist of taking stores from another ship, that does have it or do not require that stores for there operation capability
