How do pressure groups seem useless in terms of supporting democracy?

A

Pressure groups may undermine the authority of elected officials and Parliament.
If they are too powerful they may create so-called hyperpluralism, which can hold up the process of government by being too obstructive.
Pressure groups lack elective legitimacy and are not democratically accountable.
Some wealthy or influential pressure groups may have more influence than can be justified. The leadership of some elitist groups may not reflect accurately the views of their members

Children,homeless, asymlum seekers are excluded from pressure groups as they just simply rely ont he public to protect them, they arent able to do so themselves.

Why does the right wing win in terms of being able to apply pressure

A

The ease of going to Tufton street and funding issues and media is a right wing thing and places like the IEA have a close alliance with Rupert Murdoch
Often , they fund pressure groups that will facilitate right wing crime such as admittances to Brexit causing easier money laundering.
