What is the longest river in England which starts in wales?
River Severn
Which river runs through London?
River Thames
What are the four processes of erosion called?
Abrasion, hydraulic action, solution and abrasion
Explain the process of abrasion.
When water hurts material against the land. This is the sandpapering effect of the rocks hitting the land.
Explain the process of attrition.
When the water causes rocks to bump into each other and break into smaller and more rounded pieces.
Explain the process of hydraulic action.
The power of the water as they smash into the land. Trapped air is forced into holes and cracks in the rock eventually causing the rock to break apart.
Explain the process of solution.
When salty and other acids in the water dissolve the rocks on the land.
